As always it's the recovering time. The priority was for the school reopening Jul 3 Mon. And it's re-routine. Since happenings were very little, only one open house of Dato Sri Arif in Bandar Seri Mahkota on the very 1-st of Jul which coincided with in MALINI's in-law in MERU KLANG, and the next day SUN small makan in ZIDNI's place in BSP, acquiring the routine was unhitched.

Attended one walimah, Jul 7 Sat in Buana, of RASHID AHMAD, ex-MARDI, a batch mate SAS-ian while NA was on Sg Merab home weekend after her meeting in BAR-DBP-USIM, during which a large number of ex-UKM congregated. It was more of neighbourhood, of BBB 1/7 vicinity affair, rather than ex-colleagues. This was perhaps the occasion I met so many ex-UKM, from both academic and admin, since my exit in 2007 Apr. 
Jul 12 Wed, accompanied NA, ex-TGG on an OD, to FELDA PERDANA attending the RAYA of MNRB and all its associates sans just the judges. It was a grand eating occasion. My wild guess, 4000 attendees. I arrived at ca 4, and left ca 6, during that time it didn't seem a decreasing comers. In such a hall with a feast of not less that 20 menus catered by SAJI, which made a wedding menu a dwarf, a quotation of RM50 a pcs is very cheap. A calculator would give a 200k, which could be extracted from 500 motorists for a premium of RM400 each.

SHAWAL 1438 receded very fast indeed. The old silaturrahim in this virtual world, culminated only by invitation, because neighbours, physically do not necessarily stay next door.

The catch-phrase was every where, tagged on billboard of advert of many products, TUDUNG was one. Obviously they didn't catch it. The depth of it, which may invite and endless argument. 
Jul 19 Wed, DRVTGG, solo in Nissan, incidentally for a pack of several occasions. My last TRVTGG was on last 1 Shawal, after which on returning to KUL, it was a rather tied up time with several occasions, two were of NA's. The post-Shawal drive was rather quiet. It was interesting to note the rakyat-toll-free road Jabor-Ajil was returning busier, large haulers were not excluded, to them a saving for a lunch or dinner. After all, time-wise, and road-wise both are not too different. |

The pack started from Jul 20 Thu, en route to Kuantan for an overnight for NA's case in Court the following day Kul 21 Fri. Supposedly a stop in Dungun CT, but the case was settled en route. Proceeded to Kemaman, a stop at CELCOM to clear the 10+10 plan, helped by NA's nephew, FAKRO. The 'fateful' day was Jul 21 Fri. NA felt very relief, but rather unforgettably traumatic. Nonetheless, for now good bye Sri Manja and Kuantan. 
Jul 22 Sat was more hectic. In late morning, it was TRG BAR RAYA TREAT in ANEES CHALET Tanjung Gelam. Re-met the wonderful young and energetic NA's colleagues, many of them are actually her juniors. I would have re-met many more if I stay much longer. A 3-h minimum of driving was needed to commute to Jerteh Office.

The climax was the REUNION of ASAS TRG CHAPTER in Primula, Jul 22 Sat night. Gathering all the alumni, but the majority were the seniors. The VVIP was the DUN Speaker who I was not of his interest. He represented MB who, otherwise would be seated next to me, and would have some interests because we stumbled a few times in KLIA. 
The 'fiesta' was over, the curtain of Shawal was closing. Jul 23 Sun 29 Shawal 1438H, DRVKUL, solo in Nissan, after a quick acquisition of some kitchen sundries in Batu-6, the 'receding' market. Many people still knew me in this place. They are the children of my elders when I was a boy wandering for fun in this ground. TRG wasn't very much in the festive mood. Life was very much orientated to the daily routine. The natives are being slowly demog-replaced by new and more vibrant comers, though many are of their descendent. As often of late in DRVTGGKUL, opting for the JERANGAU-JABOR route would ensure a meal in either RR in LPT1, which I skipped anyway. |

The Jul 23 Sun 29 Shawal 1438H DRVKUL was in a nice weather. But noted that over this weekend drive, more and more haulers opted for the RAKYAT-ROUTE. To some obviously saving from the jaws of LPT2, and to others from the bigger jaws of AES.

Jul dissipated to its end. Nearly all have forgotten the Shawal that had just gone together with Jul. And had returned to the daily routine and chorus to live on. NA, prior to her Sg Merab weekend on Aug 3 Thu, made a daily TGG-KUL-TGG flight, Aug 1 Tue to attend a meeting. We rendz-ed in SKY PARK, Subang for a dinner.

Aug started sleazily. With Jul dissipated, events to be FB-ed were scarce, and thus were scooped from the archive. NA's weekends were very much KL-filled. Aug 1 Tue day-trip, Aug 3-5 Thu-Sat, Aug 10-12 Thu-Sat, Aug 17-19 Thu-Sat. The weekend that follows was a great anticipation of SB home-coming Aug 24 for his summer break for a month.

NA's third consecutive weekend in Sg Merab home, Aug 17-19 Thu-Sat, was with a venture in the ubiquitous MITSUI outlet park, off KLIA, planned since several weeks ago. Alas!, after all it's just a normal shopping complex with an RM2 per hr parking fees. Arrays of imported goods, unsure from their parent country or not, say for CLARKS, OBERMAIN, BALLY, etc. Had a glance on Noritake, the porcelain were "Made in Sri Lanka". It's so ordinary, unimbibed to drop in again.

ASRI's SPM trial exam pre-started Aug 21 Mon 28 Z-Kaedah 1438H, and to be continued in Sep after RAYA HAJI which was set SEP 1 Fri 10 Z-Hijjah 1438H. Weaved with a composition to include in Fototeks the TRANSGRESSION of DESTINY amazingly with an interval of 21-22 years each. Three times, started in 1973 Jun, followed by the second 1994 April, during which I contemplated the third. And yes now the third, 2017 Aug, uni-dir vert-FB-al though. 
The answer to the above was the SENSIBILITY of two bosses which led to the difference img. One preferred to half-close the exit gate after Jumaat prayer, opened only by one car at a time, so that the guard could easily 'monitor' (aka be with smart foon), even closing the entry side. This sensibility produced a 'constipation' at the gate (top img). Simply, one could not explain the sensibility. In contrast the other one simply max-opened the gate (bottom img) so that all the jemaah could get out as quickly as possible, to their working place, or even to their home, and letting the entry, mostly lady staff, as quickly as possible to their working of the second half Fri. I could easily comprehend this latter one very easily, but very hard to comprehend the former, been observed since the beginning of the Mosque being opened to the public for Friday prayer, in early 1990's. And below spotted by NA while reading it in Tok Jembal, for the first time putting up sans-me, Aug 22 Tue 29 Z-Kaedah 1438H, but it was deleted 42-min afterwards when MD SOOT pm-responded, verify-ing what was contemplated. 
The one-week school break for the RAYA HAJI strangely started Aug 26 Sat for the Raya on Sep 1 Fri, but for ASRI it was the extra class day. We thus made the DRVTGG, Aug 28 Mon 6 Z-Hijjah 1438H, the only day CB worked for the week which followed by two days leave. And at night, 4-beranak. Aug 31 Thu was Malaysia break for the 60-th MERDEKA. Its celebration was made dull by current political boiling between current and previous PM's, and the 29-th SEA Games. It would be ideal if the school break starts on Aug 30 Wed which would give ample days for the 3-days Tashrik post-raya. |
The epitome of waiting was in Aug end, SB home-coming from OSNA for his summer break, arriving Aug 24 Thu 2 Z-Hijjah 1438H late afternoon, ex-DUBAI, ex-DUSSELDORF, both on EK. The second for this year. The recent Feb home-coming was for ALYA's wedding. And this time to pre-cheer up ASRI in his SPM, come November.

The festive started by the DRVTGG, Aug 28 Mon 6 Z-Hijjah 1438H, 4-beranak. The kids were CB, SB, and ASRI. NA was waiting in TGG. And the RAYA HAJI was on SEP 1 Fri 10 Z-Hijjah 1438H. We were fully in TGG. Apart from the 5-beranak, MALINI et al (arriving on Tue) and ALYA et al (arriving by AK on Thu) were in TGG as well. Ruby, Zidni, and Muzani et al were on their own schedule. 
Before the 10 Z-Hijjah end, I took NA to visit AMIN ALIAS in Golf Residence, a buddy from GB74 time, a retired Emeritus of UTM, whose mem is UMT VC after Ibrahim Komo who took over from Aziz Deraman, both were during my tenure in UNISZA. 
The festive ended with a reverse DRVKUL, verbatim, Sep 3 Sun 12 Z-Hijjah 1438H, but unlike the DRVTGG, the drive was highly dissipated by the congestion from Lanchang LB right to after the terowong. The day best part of the festive was actually our Hijriah 2-nd Anniversary, on the 12 Z-Hijjah, which NA posted on her FB wall, and was heavily loaded with well-wishers.

It was preceded in the eve, Aug 31 Thu 9 Z-Hijjah with makan2 among the siblings, and their children, to those who could make it, sans were of HAH, AWANG, and ADIKJO. NA spent quite an effort to make the happening. 
At the QURBAN site in Sepetir Rendang surau, hi-ed by UNIZA ex-colleague, NORDIN ASIMI. And at the same site by Prof Dr Mohd Jusoh of UMT Engineering, a SAS-ian 7174 who was acquainted only recently through ASAS Reunion events. 
A drive to Jerteh, Sep 2 Sat 11 Z-Hijjah, with NA, while still in the festive mood, taking SB, and ASRI along, seeing NA's brothers and sister having a Qurban. For SB it was his first time in P-Panjang and knowing the many relatives. Popping in the orchard for the season end of durian. 
And also a drop-in in W-Tengah house on the way back, in time before ALYA-FARHAN were taken by CB to the airport for an AK flight back to JB. Malini et al had made the DRVKUL since early in the morning, w-msg-ed that they arrived in the late afternoon without any congestion at all. The g-floor of W-Tengah was cleared off from the debris, making it possible to park the cars. Noted some wiring on the g-ceiling was vandalised. The first vandalism observed in the house. And the g-store appeared to have been 'resided' with the plastic-mat was rolled out. TRG INFESTATION had started.

The three postings et seq were scenes picked up on the way in the time travel, which no one catched up the focus.

A ticking, it was the passing of CHEGU HUSSEIN AHMAD, 2017 Sep 6 Wed 15 Z-Hijjah 1438H ca 830pm. The news was splashed in Alumni SMKPM by Zawiyah at night. And I managed to drive, accompanied by SB, to KG TUNKU MOSQUE on Thu morning for the Solat Jenazah. The burial was in Kota Damansara. During the occasion I met CheGu Hussein's contemporary both in Padang Midin, and in University of Malaya. CheGu Ishak Haron. And also Mustafa, another of dear pupil of CheGu Hussein, during SEK MEN PETALING times of the 1970's who happened to be my buddy in England during my 1980's doctorate time.

Ank2 organised another get together, a repeat of Awana 2010 Feb 26, and Janda Baik 2013 Nov 2-3 Sat-Sun. It's in KG ENDAH, Morib, a homestay in the middle of transforming residential area once an oil palm orchard of Felda-type. Sep 9-10 Sat-Sun. Every one of the 27 members were in, for NA this was the first time.

A DRVTGG alone Sep 15 Fri 24 Z-Hijjah 1438H in Nissan just after mid-day, stopping in Wangsa Maju on MRR2 for the Jumaat. In SG MERAB the 3-beradik spent the weekend with ALYA et al in a KL homestay on Fri night, then a drive around KL, homewards. ZIDNI et al took them for a treat on Sun afternoon. 
The return DRVKUL in the evening of Sep 17 Sun 26 Z-Hijjah 1438H was rather 'adventurous'. It was raining, in TGG covering up to Dungun, on the non-toll Ajil-Jabor route, and all in Pahang, in the dark of the night, a downfall from after Maran.

The house in W-Tengah was finally A HOME. 2017 Sep 16 Sat 25 Z-Hijjah 1438H with the first overnight in full life ber-2, very close to two years of having NA in the family. Imperfect, but accommodative. NA's insistence was detrimental, perfected by her submissiveness for what we have already had. Unlike the house of Tok Jembal, the house of W-Tengah born many milestones that stretched quite a span of time. The building of the house started 2013 Mar 14 Thu, while I was still in contract, and it progressed very fast during the first 12 months to its standing tall of a house. Then, on my retirment in 2014 Feb, it slowed down, to an asymptote, to this day. But it was habitable since ca 2014 Aug when I finished myself enclosing it with the doors and windows, and all the internal wet works were furnished, including in the baths.

Asri's SPM trial exam ended Sep 18 Mon 27 Z-Hijjah 1438H. SB presence had helped and had encouraged him a lot. It's unfortunate that SB return was short, would not be through to his real SPM which started in early November. This final month of October is crucial, precious, and detrimental to him. SB is to leave for his 3rd year in OSNA, Sep 23 Sat 2 Muharram 1439H at the first hr of the day. |

The NAZIMAT 2017, An Extension of AZIMAT in the KG ENDAH was perhaps the "Berkumpul di Kolam" of this season, a sort of Jamboree. Then all returned to their own respective places, in default. 
ASRI's next count down to his SPM was on Sep 28 Thu 7 Muharram 1439H. The Solat Hajat, and baca-yasin, in Masjid Hasanah. It was organised by the school, SMK-J2, in a blessed drizzling. CB accompanied, and it was only 3-beranak. Somehow, my note missed ASRI's F3 school solat-hajat in 2015. It occluded with the Raya Haji of the year, and more, with the Sep 26 wedding of the season. ASRI's Y6 UPSR similar event, 2012 Sep 6 Thu 19 Shawal 1433H was attended by ALYA et al, also in Masjid Hasanah, which I could not attend because it coincided with the Majlis Perasmian Siswa Baru UNISZA, in which I was then the FPB Dean to deliver a short speech to the new intake. It was my very hectic day, starting with an MHKULTGG in the very early morning, to the very mid-night in Kalang Arang bed. New staff interview was anecdotal. All signs were there on that day that soon my home in Sg Merab needed me more than ever than Unisza needed me. |
2017 Sep 22 Fri 1 Muharram 1439H, one last gathering. In KLIA, to send off SB on an Emirate, en route to OSNA for his new session due in two days time. The long flight is on Sat early hr, to transit in Dubai. NA, and ALYA returned home for the weekend for the send-off.
